Gino and The Clown

So there I am walking down the high street with my friend Max. He’s the type a friend you need a disclaimer for when you introduce him to other people. He’s nice but quite socially awkward with everybody else but me. Anyway he’s now decided to become a clown to improve his social ability and he’s decided to wear the bloody outfit for our lunch date today.

So I’m walking down the street with this stupid looking clown who’s now trying to talk and joke with everyone as we walk even through I’ve asked his repeatedly to stop before they call the cops on us, and that’s when I see him. Gino Jackson, the greasy-hair-gangster-platonic-love-of-my-life. So I tell Max – Hey why don’t you go try your luck with those young ladies over there. – and point at some elderly women sitting by the bench waving his way and as I turn to gaze at Gino he’s walking up to be right that instant- "Hello sugar, where you headin'?"-. Sugar? I’m HIS sugar? Oh God I think I might pass out, and of course just at that moment the old ladies scream Max away, probably because he said something inappropriate, and Gino, all alpha-male- open-silk-shirt-protector-of-hi-territory get’s alerted and heads there immediately.

Now, Gino, he hates clowns, something to do with a cotton candy episode when he was 6, and I know that when he sees Max’s stupid clown face things are going to get ugly, so I run after him trying to stop him but he’s not having it. I try to physically stop him but he and his burly arms are too strong, grrrr. I digress, the point is Gino is rolling up his sleeves and his punch is headed straight for Max's nose.

So I run, I pass Gino and his posse, and stand in front of Max, who by the way hasn't even noticed. Gino says- "step aside." - "No, please Gino, he's harmless." I said. "You know this clown?" he says, and that's when it hit me do I say I know Max and never hear from Gino again because he wants NOTHING to do with clowns and people associated with them or do I let my friend Max have it?. I took the third option. I lifted up my top and let my babies grab some fresh air, giving Max enough time to flee and landing me a date with Gino tonight. Now that's what I call a win-win.
